This is a person of the plein air paintings I did at Damaged Arrow Ranch the first of January and though it has some awesome features that I can and will use for a more substantial painting, it has a couple mistakes that go away it wanting as a finished piece. However when you are out in mother nature and the light-weight is relocating, this variety of detail can take place so let’s talk about why it does not get the job done. There is certainly substantially to be realized from blunders. First, the street starts off smack dab in the middle of the composition! Romper Area No NO! the spacing on both facet of the road is also even and if that was not negative enough, the 2 trees are practically particularly the similar width as the space concerning them. Dimension and wide variety of shapes are so vital and I have too many regions the similar sizing and simular designs. So how can I fix it? Very well, I could eleminate the tree on the appropriate, which would enable a whole lot! Probably change the road to the left so it would not go appropriate down the center of the painting. Or, I could just repaint it more substantial and fret about it in a bigger studio portray. We’ll see…I have a new Gallery in Fredericksburg so will continue indulging in my enjoy of portray the Texas Hill Country Landscape.
