Group of Seven in Amherstburg: New exhibition brings iconic paintings to the county

The perform of some of Canada’s most effective acknowledged artists are on screen in Amherstburg as element of a non permanent free of charge exhibition.

The pop-up Group of 7: Not Shaped in a Day, opened on July 1 and will run until July 10.

It is a partnership between the River Bookshop and Art Windsor Essex, formerly known as the Art Gallery of Windsor.

The exhibition features those iconic brightly colored pictures, but Art Windsor Essex executive director Jennifer Matotek reported it also includes some items that people could not have witnessed in advance of including printmaking, lithography and wooden engraving.

The venture demonstrates the artwork gallery’s push to extend its access into Essex County — something that is also mirrored in the gallery’s new title.

“It really is a rather big deal that we’re really bringing our assortment out into the county in a way that we never have in advance of,” stated Matotek.

The exhibition is having spot at the Gap in the Wall room previously mentioned River Bookshop on Richmond Road in Amherstburg. Doors are open up from midday to 5 p.m. everyday and the exhibition operates until finally July 10.
